What was once science fiction is now our reality; but we are playing with fire. While AI can benefit human life in various fields, it also has the capacity to operate autonomously, causing potentially irreparable harm. Amidst fierce competition between tech giants, vying for dominance in something akin to an arms race, AI technology is developing at a startling pace. An increasing number of scientists, including luminaries like Mustafa Suleyman, Sam Altman, Joshua Bengio, Mo Gadwat, Nobel Prize winner Geoffrey Hinton, as well as entrepreneurs like Elon Musk, and historians like Juval Noah Harari, warn that we stand at a critical crossroads. 

NOW is the time to recognise the danger of the unfettered evolution of AI technology, metamorphosing unpredictably beyond our control. AI can learn independently, make autonomous decisions, and without a globally imposed moral code to guide its deployment, it could pursue its objectives unchecked, with potentially devastating consequences for mankind. Double Edge is born from the awareness that AI’s impact on our lives can be both positive and catastrophic.
